Job Description:

Validates and submits registry harvest reports to meet regulatory and registry compliance guidelines. Ensures data accurately depicts performance for publicly reported measures to CMS and other accrediting bodies. Maintains accurate databases rigorously to ensure follow-up deadlines are met according to registry requirements. Coordinates institute quality and outcomes committees or clinical projects with hospital and physician leadership to improve quality and value. Completes longitudinal patient follow-up by interviewing and assessing patient health status across the continuum to meet regulatory and registry requirements. Navigates complex patient needs during assessments and refers to appropriate providers for further care. Identifies and enrolls clinical registry candidates according to national registry guidelines. Uses critical thinking and independent judgment to determine appropriate categorization of data elements and outcomes. Serves as the clinical content expert to accurately complete clinical registry element requirements in compliance with national registry guidelines. Assists in the training and development of nursing staff to ensure accuracy and reproducibility of registry abstraction and develop training programs and educational curriculum for clinicians. Other duties as assigned. Seeks opportunities to maintain clinical expertise and incorporate latest developments and trends related to assigned registry and national clinical guidelines. Supports aggregation of outcomes necessary for center of excellence and payor-based specialty care recognitions.

Schedule: 5 days per week, 9am-5pm, no weekends, no holidays

• Knowledge of clinical registries, such as: American College of Cardiology (ACC) National Cardiovascular Data Registry (NCDR), American College of Surgeons (ACoS) National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP), Get with the Guidelines (GWTG), and Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) Database [Preferred]

• Knowledge of various electronic medical records [Preferred]



Education:

• Associate's Degree [Required]



Field of Study:

• in Instructional Design, Instructional Systems Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, or Educational Technology

• in Education, Instructional Design, Instructional Systems Technology, Curriculum and Instruction, or Educational Technology



Work Experience:

• 3+ in specialized nursing including, but not limited to: critical care, catheterization lab, operating room, recovery room, and other related clinical settings [Required]

• 5+ in clinical work at a quaternary care hospital system, national clinical registries as referenced above, and/or data analytics including data analysis and registry harvest [Preferred]
