Foundation Health Partners is looking for a dedicated Urology Physician Assistant to partner in relaunching our clinic at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
The Opportunity:
Foundation Health Partners is seeking a Urology Physician Assistant to join our team as we relaunch our outpatient Urology practice in May 2025. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside Dr. Shannon Smith, a urologic surgeon who sub-specializes in reconstructive urology and also treats a broad range of general urologic conditions. You'll partner with Dr. Smith to rebuild the practice while providing high-quality care to the diverse patient population of Interior Alaska, utilizing advanced technologies such as a new Da Vinci robot and a fully equipped urology suite. This role will also involve serving as a first assist in surgeries, offering the chance to gain hands-on experience in both complex and general urology cases, while making a direct impact on the community's health. For those eager to specialize or expand their expertise; Dr. Smith has a strong background in medical education and is committed to mentoring and fostering a supportive environment for professional growth in this rapidly evolving field.
- Compensation: Starting at a base of $147,112, your compensation can be further adjusted based on experience. Additional opportunity to increase earnings through productivity. $40k sign-on bonus.
- 7 weeks of approved time off. 2 weeks of CME. $5,000 annual CME credit.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be approved to practice by the State Joint Board on the Regulation of Physician's Assistants. NCCPA certification required. Exhibits an exemplary professional demeanor and interpersonal relationship skills.
Demonstrates proficiency in computer applications and database management. Must have sufficient experience, confidence, and judgment to function with little outside direction. Ability to maintain CME currency as required to maintain NCCPA certification. Requires personal DEA license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree preferred. Experience in clinical setting including supervision is preferred. ACLS, PALS, ATLS, and/or Neonatal Resuscitation certifications desirable.
