Job DescriptionPrepare and deliver medications and information to physicians, nurses, other health-care providers and patients within the hospital correctly and in a timely manner, in accordance with Maryland Board of Pharmacy Regulations and UM UCH policies and procedures. Supervises and is responsible for technical staff in all phases of their delegated duties. Check all orders, IV admixtures, repacking of meds, floor stocks, and emergency medication supplies that leave the pharmacy. Interacts with patient population from neonate to elderly with all types of illnesses. Interacts with physician, nursing staff and patients as consultant and educator regarding medication usage.
