Urology Lead Advanced Practice Provider
The Lead Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice nurse (APN) who is responsible for providing clinical care for patients and coordination of services provided by APPs in his/her section of their department. This includes recruitment and onboarding, training and performance oversight, professional development and day-to-day operations and troubleshooting for this group of providers. This individual should be given protected administrative time and may also be responsible for scheduling, alignment of department quality & safety initiatives, research coordination and development of department policies and procedures as they pertain to APPs.
