Supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education.What You Bring/Job Requirements:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Licensure/Education Requirements* High School GED required* A degree in nursing (BSN or MSN), required* Masters Degree preferred * Active RN License to practice in Colorado or Kansas as applicableExperience/Certifications Requirments* 3 years RN experience, required* 1 year clinical leadership experience, required* 1 year of clinical leadership in acute care setting and experience in Charge management preferred* BLS through the American Heart Association* ACLS required within 6 months of hire or transfer* Must sit for appropriate board certification within six months of hire or transfer into the role. Certification must be passed/obtained within two years of hire or transfer into the role.* Clinical and/or Leadership certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer.* Credential: Nursing Specific- ANCC ApprovedSchedule* Full Time Days* Will work one evening every two weeks to connect with Night Shift TeamUnit Info/Duties* 23 bed renal/diabetic unit. Provides care for complex medical patients* Oversees daily unit operations and a staff of approx. 30 FTEs, combination of RNs and CNAs. Penrose Hospital serves as the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services with 364-licensed beds and the ability to provide tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with an emphasis on elective and outpatient care.  Established in 1890, Penrose Hospital has grown to become a major health treatment and referral center, specializing in cancer care, cardiac care, emergency trauma care and physical rehabilitation. St. Francis Medical Center opened in 2008 to keep pace with the growing needs of the Colorado Springs' community on the north side of the city. St. Francis Medical Center features 172-beds and offers a modern Birth Center, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Care Unit, Emergency Department, Level III Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Surgical Services and Critical Care Unit.
