Overview

This position is responsible for providing patient care and assists health care providers in performing assigned patient procedures within scope of training. Position receives general supervision from RN, APN, PA, or Physician in providing patient care.

Positions Available

Full-Time (36 hours/week) 12-hour shifts, varied

Responsibilities

Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Provides all customers of Foundation Health with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating our core and leader behaviors each and every day.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.

State of Alaska Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Emergency Medical Technician - 1, or highter: (EMT - 1,2,3 or MICP), (Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic) with state licensure or National EMT, or Paramedic registry cerfification is required for new hires. Requires Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

The position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain professional decorum in highly stressful emergent situatins. The positin requires the ability to be conscientious, organized, and orderly and the ability to respond quickly to the needs of physician and patient.

Position requires basic computer skills, effective communication (written and verbal) skills, and problem solving ability in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Additional related education and/or experience preferred. De-escalation training preferred.
