Station 66 is a busy and challenging Medical Unit including 18 telemetry beds known for its superb teamwork, sense of family and camaraderie. We are flexible, try new things, and are continuously learning and improving. We work hard together, and we have fun together. This is a night position, 8 hour shifts with every other weekend. Primarily provide inpatient care for adult and geriatric medical patients. Most patients have multiple complex health problems in addition to their admitting diagnosis.
Most common diagnoses include: pneumonia, GI bleed, COPD exacerbation, CHF, abdominal pain, diabetes with complications, infections caused by resistant and emerging organisms, and renal failure.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
