This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Learn more As a critical care Registered Nurse, you will deliver safe and effective care for patients requiring frequent monitoring and interventions. Common diagnoses include respiratory failure, advanced cardiac disease, renal failure, post operative surgical and other medical conditions. An an ICU/SDU nurse, you may be assigned patients on either level of care. The RN must demonstrate knowledge and competency in critical care nursing skills such as hemodynamic monitoring, early recognition of declining conditions including dysrhythmias, interpretation of lab values, medication titration and dosing, familiarity with vasoactive and sedation medications, and advanced respiratory support/devices. The RN must maintain ACLS certification Work Schedule: AM Shift: 7:00 am - 7:30pm, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, 11:00 am - 7:30 pm with rotating weekends and holidays and/or PM Shift: 7:00 pm - 730am, 11:00 pm - 7:30 am with rotating weekends and holidays This is an Open Continuous Announcement.
