Medical Instrument Technician (Hemodialysis)
The Dialysis Unit Medical Instrument Technician (MIT) is responsible for the safe operation and continual preventative maintenance and repair of dialysis equipment. The MIT is an integral member of the Dialysis/Renal interdisciplinary team and helps with various duties that are necessary to maintain a well-functioning unit. The MIT is able to recognize and react to signs and symptoms that signal the onset of complications of dialysis, take appropriate action, and report these complications.
