Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (OKCVAHCS) is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible (BC/BE) General Nephrologist to join our healthcare team for outpatient / inpatient practice with preference for candidates who also have transplant experience. The selected BC/BE Nephrologist will practice the full scope of General Nephrology clinical care, to include comprehensive renal/nephrology services and procedures, functioning as an expert for patient care related to acute, chronic and end-stage kidney disease, fluid, electrolyte and acid-based disorders, inpatient consultations, outpatient clinic and outpatient dialysis rounding and procedures. Transplant experience is highly desired. The Nephrologist will develop patient treatment plans, including but not limited to hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy, and is expected to establish and support professional working relationship with clinical service providers within the medical center, Outpatient Clinics (OPCs) and the Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). The OKCVAHCS is Academically Affiliated with the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The selected Nephrologist candidates will be considered for Academic Appointment based on qualifications, experience and interest, to include research interests, and will be expected to participate in the teaching of fellows, residents and medical students.
