Department Profile: The Cardiovascular Short Stay Unit at Duke University Hospital is comprised of a 21 -bed post-cardiac catheterization unit. Our team is active in delivering exemplary care for each patient to ensure an excellent patient experience, every time. The patient population in this area includes pre- and post-procedural cardiac patients. Primary responsibilities include prepping patients prior to procedures (such as cardiac cath), pre-med, starting IVs, drawing labs, pulling sheaths, and general post-procedure recovery. Work Hours & Shifts: Full Time: Mostly 12-hour day shifts with occasional rotation to nights. No weekend or holiday commitment! Duke Nursing Highlights:
