Provides primary clinical support to the provider, patient and their family to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of the patient's condition in the urgent care setting. Follows up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion, accuracy, and filing of same in medical record to ensure continuity and quality of care. Promotes a clean environment. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in specific age range on their assigned clinical area.
Works under the general direction of the clinic site provider and reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Performs duties to provide the highest level of patient care and maximize patient satisfaction.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and manage a variety of tasks and/or projects in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrates competence in written, oral and electronic communication skills.
Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to use computers with general keyboarding, typing and internet navigation skills
Demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills, strong clinical skills and flexibility to deal with variety of clinic settings.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduate of accredited nursing program, current PA license required.
Medical/surgical, emergency department or clinic related experience preferred.
Phlebotomy experience preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is typically performed in a clinic environment. Requires travel to employer site(s) and to other CareWorks sites.
