A neurology and sleep medicine practice is seeking a Technical Supervisor, under the direction of the Medical Director and Chief Operations Officer to perform a variety of electro neurophysiology testing and providing supervision and training of junior EEG technologists and personnel management of EEG and Sleep technicians; quality assessment and assurance to ensure quality and accuracy of EEG performed and program advancement. Experience in sleep medicine also encouraged but training on sleep is provided. The practice works out of several offices and some of the oversight is done remotely.
Delivery of EEG services to patients, routine EEG and Ambulatory EEGs, Quantitative EEGs (instruction on this will be provided). Neurofeedback (training on this will be provided).
The Supervisor has an expected level of competence and must be able to independently perform duties and responsibilities for EEG testing.
Recognizes clinically significant events and follows facility policy and procedures regarding critical test results.
Maintains continuing education requirements of ABRET for R. EEG T. credential by reviewing literature and attending educational meetings for the latest accepted practices and electrical safety relevant to equipment and testing.
Establishes policies and procedures according to established standards of practice.
Performs any other related duties that are consistent with patient and technical care for this level.
Participates in teaching, demonstrating, and mentoring other team members.
Provides direct & indirect technical supervision to the Technologists as required.
Also, you will be expected to train on Sleep with the goal of becoming a registered Sleep Tech.
Graduate of an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic program and are a Registered EEG Technician; OR
Must be registered by the American Board of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologists (ABRET) as a Registered EEG Technologist (REEGT).
