This Senior Capital Accountantpositionâs primary responsibilities include:
Supporting the Capital Accountants as they perform variousareas of the capital accounting close for their assigned group of hospitals/facilities
Monitoring each Capital Accountantâs Maintain Asset Interface File review to ensure our facilities are closing capital projects appropriately and our Capital Accountants are reviewing thoroughly
Coordinating all acquisitionsâ opening asset balance entries until the assets are uploaded into the fixed asset system
Distributing projects for closing corporate, physicianpractice IT and outpatient clinic capital projects and reviewing monthlyreports to ensure completeness and accuracy
Working closely with personnel at the facilities and our corporatedepartments to provide support and respond to questions relating to corporateasset transfers, and acquisitions/divestitures
The position will be responsible for (1) preparing/recording/reviewingcapital accounting related journal entries, (2) preparing and reviewing accountreconciliations to ensure appropriate support for the specific accountsassociated with these activities has been obtained, (3) preparing schedules foraudit and tax purposes and (4) other projects or analyses that may arise. Theposition will also assist in identifying issues and implementing effectivesolutions to improve processes.
Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting
Minimum3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
Strongcomputer skills required, including intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
