WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE) - 80 Hours Bi-Weekly; 40W Overtime
Performs client assessment and triage including coordinating referrals to in-house clinical and community services, conducting client/family/significant
other education, providing all aspects of nursing care, assisting physicians and physician extenders, and maintaining financial records for billing and
statistical reporting. The overall goal of care coordination is to ensure that the client receives the mix of services appropriate to her needs in a timely fashion.
Assists other team members on the unit.
Accountable to the Operations Manager.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania required.
Certified BCLS required. Maintenance of BCLS Certification every two years required.
Minimum two years’ experience in obstetrics required.

Work is typically performed in a clinical office environment.

GEISINGER WYOMING VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER: (GWV), located in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., is an acute care hospital that is licensed for 274 beds, and houses the only Level II Trauma center in Luzerne County.
